Our cultural and historical walk through the district of Garmisch begins at Richard-Strauss-Platz and takes you from the fashionable pedestrian zone through the picturesque ‘Frühlingstraße’ - where time seems to have stood still - on to the ‘Oidn Kirch’, as the locals affectionately call it.
On the varied route, you will learn just as much about Dirndln and Pfousn as you will about the ‘beginning of the end’, the passions of the composer Richard Strauss, the “Schloapferer” and our famous ‘Brettlrutschern’.
